How to root Sony Xperia Z1

Sony Xperia Z1 has been around the market for a while and now it has also been officially been launched in India. With stunning 20 megapixels camera, waterproof and many other features, this phone show some real character.

The Android developers are so active these days that they find the root of a device hours after it is launched and the same is the case with Xperia Z1. The root for Sony Xperia Z1 has already been achieved and in this post, I will be writing about how to root Sony Xperia Z1

Before you move on with the process, there are a few things which I want you to keep in mind

Precautions to take before starting rooting Xperia Z1

  • Make sure battery of the device is fully charged. This process will require a lot of battery power and if your device gets turned off in the middle of the procedure, then you might end up with a bricked or damaged device.
  • Backup the data which is present on the phone memory. If you think the data present on the phone memory is not important, then you can skip this step.
  • Connect your device to the computer. If you are connecting your phone for the first time, then make sure to download and install your device drivers.

Once you are done with all these things, then you can go ahead with the procedure.

Procedure to root Sony Xperia Z1

  • Enable USB debugging mode by navigating to Settings > Developer Options and tap on the square box present next to USB Debugging.
  • Download the one click root tool for Sony Xoeria Z1, the page will open in Chinese. Just translate the page using Google Translater and download the required file.
  • Now, connect your phone to the PC and open the downloaded tool. There will be a red indicator on the top which indicates that your phone is not yet rooted.
  • Click on the green colored button in the right bottom corner to start rooting xperia z1.
  • As soon as the setup finished rooting Xperia Z1, you will get to see a confirmation message, Saying like COngratulations. Rooting Xperia Z1 was successful.
